If I've said it once, I've said it a million times. I LOVE CHRISTMAS music. One song I've come to love is the Parade of the Wooden Soldiers. I came across it on my daughters Disnay Song Along Christmas video that I got from my sister in law. The VCR tape is pretty old, but I think the recording predates me.
Here is a Youtube version of the one I have:
Parade of the Wooden Soldiers
And I found a Harry Connick, Jr version:
Parade of the Wooden Soldiers
And another version by the Ronettes (I think):
Parade of the Wooden Soldiers
Here is a little tip for Youtube users: If you find a video you like but you want a better sounding/looking version, go to the end of the URL and type "&FMT=18" without the quotes. It means "and format is high quality". Of course Google doesnt want all videos to be streamed at high quality since it would kill their bandwidth.
And if you find a video you want to keep, download "Youtube downloader". This handy dandy little utility lets you download videos to your hard drive. See, the videos on youtube are FLV files, or flash video, that only allow the viewing of video. You need a special application to save it down. And once you download the FLV, the same utility lets you convert it to MP3, AVI, MOV, WMV and several other formats. Good for getting songs, comedy, etc on to an iPod or just archive on your local hard drive.
